The Alabaster JarPicture Details
|
This is an acrylic painting on a boxed canvas of a scene in which Jesus is anointed by a woman as she washes his feet with her perfume and tears and dries them with her hair. Onlookers look on in disgust when they consider the morality of the woman - she is seeking repentance. He had said that they provided nothing for him and the perfume she used was quite costly by their standards. What she did was beautiful and she is commemorated in the scripture. |
